Naoyuki is a Programme Officer in the Governance for Climate Change and Sustainable Development (GCSD) program at the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS). He is a Doctor of Laws from the Nagoya University Graduate School of Law, Japan. His research interests cover climate change adaptation, climate security, climate change law, and transnational law.
